Thanks for sharing that excellent article, Cindy. I think I’ve thought the same in the back of my head. I too have thought that any reading is good, but I’ve avoided the gross-books market. If you can make the transition from Captain Underpants to Treasure Island, that’s wonderful…but don’t just leave your children in the gross books field forever. Show them what else is out there in children’s literature.
